Garden Internships

The Garden Internship is for gardeners and herbalists interested in spending 1-2 weeks of the growing season developing their hands-on experience in an established medicine garden. The Intern joins the garden crew from building soil, planting, tending, and collecting a wide variety of native and propogated medicinal plants in harmony with the Biodynamic calendar and practices. Garden Intern will also have the opportunity to spend time inside the Apothecary, learning from the medicine-makers about the up-to-date good manufacturing procedures in our kitchen, and the process of creating the tinctures, glycerites, salves, cremes, and teas that Avena Botanicals is known for. Garden Intern is housed in the Willow House and receive a weekly stipend to cover their basic food and travel expenses.
